Mr. Nichols founded the Association in 2007 and is its first President. He is primarily responsible for outreach to the membership and the overall strategic direction of the Association.
Living in Japan for close to 10 years, Mr. Nichols represented Canadian and other international destination tourism products to both wholesale and retail travel agencies throughout Japan. As an expat, he relied heavily on the personal networks he formed between other Canadians, Canadian business councils, Chambers of Commerce and the Canadian Embassies and Consulates that are located around the world.
Mr. Nichols operates out of Victoria British Columbia where he currently lives with his wife and two children, both of whom were born in Japan. Fluent in both English and Japanese, Allan has written extensively about the expat community, has appeared on national TV and Radio, met with Canadian political leaders from all parties and has appeared before House of Commons Standing Committees addressing the needs of the Canadian Expat.
